I was born in Haiti, moving with my parents to Texas as a teenager. Realizing a desire to work with people, I completed dental assisting school. After moving to Maryland in 2006, I joined the team at Dr Schwartzman's office. After (sadly) leaving the practice in 2010 to spend more time with my children, I was invited to return in 2013. My heart was always with this practice and my dental family. There were no open assisting positions, so I learned the tasks of the front office personnel. Shortly thereafter I was excited to be promoted to Office Manager. Knowing how much I enjoy dental assisting, it's hard for me to believe how much I enjoy my role as Office Manager. Out of the office, I love spending time with my two children and husband.
I began my career with Dr. Schwartzman in 1995. The time I have spent with my work family have been the best. The relationships that I have made with patients over the years have been most rewarding.
I truly consider my boss, coworkers and patients to be my friends.
Outside of work I love being with my family, gardening with my husband, movies at home, reading and being outdoors.
My smile is one of the first our patients see when they come into the office: giving them a warm welcome and making their appointment as comfortable as possible is always my goal. I love everything about my job, especially knowing that I get to make a positive difference in our patients' lives through helping them achieve a beautiful, healthy smile.
I have been with Dr. Schwartzman for 10 years!! I am responsible for making sure the hygiene department runs efficiently. It makes me happy when our patients are grateful after we go the extra mile to help them have a good dental experience. I also love the fact that when I come to work in the morning, I come to a place that is safe, clean, and comfortable, I have our doctors and the rest of our team to thank for that! When I'm at home, I enjoy taking nature walks with my husband and son, as well as attending my husband's soccer games. I love to travel, especially when I can relax in the sun, snorkel, and kayak. Doing Zumba in my spare time keeps me in shape, too!
I am originally from Las Vegas, NV. I am a 10 year Naval veteran and have three amazing sons.
Having served three years on a ship, I feel that I am a chameleon in adaptation, am disciplined, and have an appreciation for structure. Aside from my military background, I have a passion for helping others, take an immense amount of pride in what I do as a dental assistant, and believe in team work.
I have had the opportunity to work overseas and stateside, in various offices, and under numerous dentists. I must say that this office is unmatched, when it comes to genuinely making you feel like family. I look forward to meeting and welcoming all existing and new patients into my family.
Although I have known Dr. Schwartzman as a great family friend for more than 20 years, I felt honored and proud when he asked me to join his well respected practice four years ago. I am excited to be part of an amazing team of fabulous dentists and caring coworkers that place the needs of patients first. Recently I expanded my scope of work, to include not only dental assisting and lab work, but also tracking insurance claims and helping out in the reception area.
I was nominated this year for the Dale Foundation Award through the Dental Assisting National Board, of which I'm particularly proud. I am also excited to be joining Dr Schwartzman this summer on the Dominican Dental Mission Project.
Outside of the office, I have four wonderful children whom make me proud. We enjoy soccer, skiing and tennis and love hiking with our energetic German Shepherd, Bailey.
I LOVE MY JOB!
This is one of the nicest practices I've ever been a part of. The patients are a great group and the people I work with every day are genuinely kind and caring. From day one, I've felt like part of the team.
When I'm not here helping patients with appointments and insurance, I'm busy taking care of my husband, daughter and animals. In my free time, I love to bake, read and walk my dog.
